- Andrew Walls, a missionary to Sierra Leone and Nigeria, now teaching at the University of Edinburgh will give an historical overview of the Church and Mission.
"I think cultural diversity was built into the Christian faith with that first great decision by the Council in Jerusalem, recorded in Acts 15, which declared that the new gentile Christians didn’t have to enter Jewish religious culture. They didn’t have to receive circumcision and keep the law. I’m not sure we’ve grasped all the implications of that decision."

Lamin Sanneh: “A View from the Majority World: Why We're in a New Era." Saturday, Sept. 30th 8AM - High Point Church - Map - Lamin Sanneh: D. Willis James Professor of
Missions and World Christianity and professor of history at Yale
Divinity School. Gambian born, Sanneh is descended from the nyanchos,
an ancient African royal line and raised in an orthodox Muslim family.
"The responsibility of the church to respond positively to the Muslim
challenge I see as constitutive of the Christian response to God. I
remain convinced that the church will emerge renewed and revitalized
from that challenge."
